AEROBIC FILTER [SAF Process]
Submerged
Aerobic Filter (SAF) incorporates the advantages of Fixed Film
Technology combined with Fine bubble Diffused Aeration. SAF is
highly suitable for medium and low strength wastewater. SAF
unit can be prefabricated and installed at site on suitable
foundation SAF process can also used for on site casted
tanks. Specially designed PVC fill media is provided for
immobilization of micro-organisms. Oxygen required for
metabolism is provided through fine bubble membrane diffusers.
The mixed liquor from SAF overflows to Lamella Clarifier for
separation of sludge. BOD removal efficiency possible of SAF
reactor is 95 - 97%.
